Though our current seats (right) were correct for 1970, the HRX9 designation on our fender tag calls for leather buckets... We ordered new correct leather from Legendary (left)

We also ordered new foam buns -- a pattern change requires new padding. Unlike the old version, the new seat-back padding comes in two pieces. The bun kit comes with instructions and special muslin required for attaching the buns to the frame.

Note how the listing wires are connected. They provide anchor points to attach the leather to form the correct surface contours. You will need to re-install the listing wires  with the new foam seat buns.

Note the hog ring positions along the seat springs.  You will need to re-attach the listing wires  at even intervals for the pattern to look correct.

We are keeping the burlap attached since its in great shape. Also our seat frames just need light touch up painting.   The original buns, listing wire and covers we set aside for another project.
